AVSL Round Seven
A great day to round out the first half of the 2023/2024 AVSL season, it was a fun filled day with numerous unique events and distances and finished off with a nice sausage sizzle, great to wrap up the season with a good mix of company with athlete’s, officials, and everyone else who helped out across the journey.
A round of applause for Jace Murray who was the highest point scorer in Ballarat and 7th in the state with a whopping 1,336. Jace’s highest scoring event was the Javelin getting 482 points with a throw of 47.26m.
Great work by all the clubs on the weekend, all earning numerous points across a shorter event schedule to again show Ballarat’s presence in the divisions. With Wendouree placing in 6th in the Premiers division, Harriers placing 6th and Eureka 9th in division two and finally YCW finishing in 2nd in division four.
A reminder that the next round of AVSL is on 13/01/2024 so enjoy the Christmas and new years break. Listen out for future updates with the track becoming free access as of the 1st of January.
As always big thank you to all officials and club helpers who have helped AVSL run so far this year, we look forward to continuing the season at the beginning of next year with you all.
