Congratulations to Ballarat YCW athlete Rose Ashman on taking home the David Stevens Junior Athlete of the Year award at the annual Sportsmens Association of Australia – Ballarat Branch awards night!

Ashman has had a terrific 2023/24 track season finishing with a gold medal in the U17 3000m at the Australian National Championships! Ashman has also won medals at the Victorian Country Championships, Victorian State Championships and Victorian All School Championships!

The award is named after David Stevens, an inaugural member of the Ballarat branch of the Sportsmen’s Association and a life member of the Ballarat Regional Athletic Centre (BRAC)
