Over 100 athletes headed to Victoria Park on Saturday for the annual Wal Brown events with athletes rewarded with a rain free course. The U12 2km event got underway at 2:00pm with Cooper Tuddenham taking on the win in 7.13 minutes

In the 4km junior event it was Mitchell Korosec who took off early to take the win in 13.33 minutes ahead of Gus Barton and Issac Gillett. Paige Tuddenham as the first female over the line starting a great day for the Tuddenham family.

In the main 8km event Ben Stevens continued his dominance first over the line ahead of Jacob Cheesman and Ben Mornane. In the Female event Eliza Lepair continued her return from injury with a win with Olivia Beaton and Louise Wood close behind.

For the club awards, Eureka Athletics took out the A Grade Men and the U20 & U16 awards while Ballarat YCW had a huge day with victories in the B Grade Men, 40+ Men, U14 Men, A Grade Women, B Grade Women, C Grade Women and 40+ Women. Wendouree took out the 50+ Men category.
