Well done to all athletes who competed for Ballarat Region during the XCR season in 2023. Ballarat had 87 different individual athletes compete for the region during the year which is a great effort! We had some terrific results across the age groups including a 2nd place finish in the Men’s OPEN Division 4 which now sees them move up a division! The Women’s 40+ also found a 3rd place finish!
In the juniors it was the Men’s U14 that held strong all year to finish in 1st with several placings! Well done to all who have contributed this year
On behalf of BRAC we would like to say a massive thank you to Michelle Hawkes for her tremendous work over the winter season putting teams together for relays and managing singlets for all those who compete. Michelle does a mountain of work every year so make sure you thank her.
A big thank you also to Steve McLennan who is always the first to arrive and set up the tents, Helen Rieniets who does the back end financial work for relays and Rod Griffin for his support across multiple areas. Thank you to all officials too who support the entire competition.
