Athletes from all around Victoria came to Lake Wendouree yesterday for the annual Ballarat XCR 15km with over 500 competitors on the course. With winds at a minimum and a slight bit of sun, the day produced several PB for athletes in the state.
For the Ballarat Region, juniors took home several placings for the teams event with all Women’s junior grades finishing top 4 with a victory in the Women’s U16. For the junior men, Men U14 had a first place finish with U16 & U20 coming in second.
For seniors, OPEN Premier Division Men had their best result for the season with a 3rd place finish while Women’s 40+ had a podium finish. The depth of athletes saw Ballarat Region finish 1st in the Division 4 team competition.
