Round 1 of AVSL started with some impressive performances from individuals and clubs as Ballarat turned on the weather after a rainy few days. The day started with Ballarat Harriers athlete Molly Fraser breaking a BRAC record in Triple Jump following a 11.84M jump. This attempt broke the OPEN, U20, U18 and U17 Women’s BRAC record which is a terrific way to start the season for Fraser after an impressive 2021-22 season. Wendouree Athletics member Mackayla Culvenor also broke a BRAC record in the Triple Jump with a 11.20M jump enough to break the Women’s U15 record.

Over 150 participants took to Llanberris on Saturday for Round 1 with many enjoying the start of the season in style. Big thank you to all the Ballarat official, administrators and technical volunteers that made the day possible and well done to all participants on a great day
