BRAC Chas Suffren

The Ballarat Regional Athletic Centre (BRAC) headed to the Woady Yaloak Equestrian Centre on Saturday for the annual Chas Suffren event. All clubs came together for the BRAC event with over 85 participants on the course. With obstacles and mud thrown in, the event is a true Cross Country course!

The Ballarat Regional Athletic Centre (BRAC) headed to the Woady Yaloak Equestrian Centre on Saturday for the annual Chas Suffren event. All clubs came together for the BRAC event with over 85 participants on the course. With obstacles and mud thrown in, the event is a true Cross Country course!

The Male 6.4km event was won by Benjamin Stevens who finished in 21:33 minutes ahead of team mates Ben Mornane and Josh Johnston. Eureka was the A Grade club winner in the Men’s with Ballarat YCW (40+, U16), Ballarat Harriers (50+) and Wendouree (U18) all coming away with club wins

In the Women’s it was Eliza Lepair that once again finished first in a time of 25:30 minutes with Sarah Watts and Bridget Weatherall capping off a Ballarat YCW podium. Ballarat YCW had a clean sweep of the team awards on the day

In the junior 3.2km course it was Wendouree’s Mitchell Korosec in first finishing in 11:33 minutes with Ballarat YCW’s Rose Ashman the first female over the line in 12:25 minutes. In the 1.60km event it was Cooper Tuddenham coming home in 5:55 minutes.

Well done to all participants at the event and thank you to all organisers and volunteers that made it possible. The next BRAC event is the Lake Relays on August 12th with Ballarat XCR event also on Sunday 6th August.
