XCR Round 10 – Tan Relays

Well done to all Ballarat participants that went to Tan Relays on Saturday to finish the XCR season in style. Ballarat region had 8 teams compete on the day with some good results!

Well done to all Ballarat participants that went to Tan Relays on Saturday to finish the XCR season in style. Ballarat region had 8 teams compete on the day with some good results!

In the juniors, the U16 Women had a 5th place finish with Gretta Ashley, Aria Violini and Leni Williams leading the way. The U18 Men also led to a 7th place finish in a tight contest with the Men U14 team made up of Mitchell Korosec, Tom Goodson and Lachlan Anderson finishing the course in third place following a strong opening from Korosec.

In the seniors, the Men 40+ finished 5th while the Men OPEN division 4 team had a terrific day with a 4th place finish with Jordan Mayston with a 12:52 minutes leg of the 3.87km relay. In the Open Men’s Premier division, the Ballarat Region finished 9th but were only 4 minutes away from first place in one of their best performances for the year in a strong competition. In what was an even performance, all 6 athletes in the OPEN Men team finished the 3.87km leg in under 12:33 minutes! The OPEN Women Premier pushed through the course to finish in 9th and secure their position in premier division for next year

Well done to everyone involved in the XCR season for 2022, plenty of exciting results for Ballarat over the 10 rounds. Thank you to everyone for their support and special thanks to Michelle Hawkes for her work putting relays teams together during the year!
