XCR Round 3 – Bendigo

Well done to everyone who participated in Bendigo with one of Ballarat’s best ever results at an XCR event. This week will be the annual Lap of the Lake in Ballarat!

XCR Round 3 – Bendigo

Ballarat athletes travelled to Bendigo on Saturday for Round 3 of the XCR season with the closer to home trip resulting in positive results across the day. All 8 of the Junior Team events saw Ballarat finish inside the Top 3! The Men’s U14, Women’s U16 and Men’s U20 all finished as the highest club in Victoria while other junior grades finished in top 3. In the seniors, the Women’s OPEN had one of their best results with a 3rd place finish while the Men’s OPEN finished in 7th spot. The masters had a positive day with Women’s 50+ coming in 2nd place.

Paige Tuddenham continued her strong season with a 3rd place finish in U14 Women’s while Rose Ashman received a 3rd for her effort in the Women’s U16 event. Daisy Sudholz then received a 3rd for her run in the Womens U20 event, a great day for our junior Women. In the Men’s U18 event Ballarat athletes Charles Chandler and Kody Taggart came in 2nd & 3rd in an impressive run with Joshua Johnson then finishing with a 4th in the U20 Men’s.

In the OPEN, Ben Stevens was the fasted male with a top 50 finish while Eliza Lepair followed her terrific season with an 8th place finish in the OPEN Women’s. Karla Treweek ended in 18th place while Angela Williams was the 1st 50+ Women over the line.
