Athletics Victoria XCR 9 Burnley
The Ballarat Region heading down to Melbourne on Sunday for the XCR 9 at Burnley with the 5km and 21.1km events headlining the day. In the juniors, Lachlan Anderson competed in the Men U14 event finishing in 20:43 minutes. Ben Mornane continued his strong season finishing 3rd in the Men U18 finishing the 5km in 15:39 minutes while Charles Chandler completed in 18:12 minutes. Ben Ludbrook a week after nationals stormed to 4th place in 15:22 minutes while Darcy Williams and Hugh Ollerenshaw saw impressive times on the course.
In the OPEN, Will Ford was the first Male over the line in the 21.1km finishing in 1:09:22 hours which was strong enough for a 22nd placing in the event. Keith Scott and David Grigg also pulled off impressive performance across the Half-Marathon
